Mountains to climb

I recently have been reflecting on life a lot and how each person you meet is going through some hard trial, or at least has in their life, or will at some point. We really have no idea what is going on in anyone else's life. We are all the center of our own world, and sometimes it is hard to remember that other people are dealing with things just as hard, if not harder than us. That person that cut you off in traffic, that rude grocer at the store. Everyone.

In the last 2 months I have had 2 people I know die. A guy that tried to date me in college (got one successful date out of me), and a friend from a group I went with to my senior prom and went on to be a good friend for many years. My college roommate's newborn baby girl passed away this week, and my family (in CO and here) have been going through some very difficult issues surrounding a family members mental issues, and Scott and I were designated to take care of the situation all the way in Utah. It was a lot to be responsible for, and was a very heavy weight to carry for a week. Sometimes I feel like I don't want to share everything in my life, because well, it's my life and some aspects are very private. But I do always want to be honest with my readers, and I do always want others to know that my life is not perfect. Not even close, but I do want everyone to know that I am trying harder to put myself in others shoes and keep in mind that we all have "mountains to climb". My best friend Ashley posted this video on her Facebook, and I would be totally lying if I said I didn't cry like a newborn babe.

I hope if you are feeling that heavy weight of life on your shoulders, that this video will help you remember that you are loved, and God has you in mind at all times. You can do hard things:)
